Tir Ynysael

The land that holds Silbriesti, the Elven nation; the nation itself is in that document, and the people in the Elves document. For the world map and scale, see Geography.

Name. Tir Ynysael (teer EEN-iss-ayl), Elvish for "the Great Islands": tir, "land," as in Tir Hathar; ynys, "island"; and -ael, "great."

Extent. The British Isles, Ireland, and Scandinavia, plus a toe of territory in the Netherlands.

Isolation. Geographically the most isolated region on the map — separated from Septentria by the Channel and the northern seas, with only that toe in the Netherlands touching the mainland. It's where the occasional Thorn slips through.

Open: the land itself — its forests, climate, and anything that lives there — and whether outsiders know much of anything about Scandinavia's interior.
